One of the aims of our latest exhibition Mansfield Museum in 389¼ Objects is to give people the opportunity to view items not often put out on public display. Drop in any time and you can re-acquaint yourself with old favourites like the stuffed alligator or the birds’ eggs. We’d like to take this a step further by offering you a chance to discover even more hidden gems.

The event is called Spotlight Friday and will take place every Friday throughout May. Each week will feature a different aspect of our collections: paintings; ceramics; Metal Box and so on. Once you’ve booked your half-hour slot you’ll be taken behind the scenes to explore the relevant store room, with a member of staff on hand to guide you and to answer any questions you might have.
