Priory gardens open to public

Posted onPosted on 4th Mar

Felley Priory at Underwood will be open to the public on Sunday, 19th April, as part of the charity National Garden Scheme.

Organisers said the garden, which can be visited from 10am to 4pm, would feature snowdrops, hellebores, primulas, iris and a bluebell woodland walk.

They added: “The orchard has a stunning collection of thousands of daffodils, some of them extremely rare. All are set amongst glorious rolling countryside. There is wheelchair access, plants for sale, parking and refreshments.”

The National Garden Scheme saw a total of 3,552 gardens opened to the public last year, and a total of £3ms donated to nursing and health charities.
