Household names at Palace Theatre

Well-known faces from the worlds of music, comedy and television can be seen at Mansfield’s Palace Theatre over the coming weeks.

Expect stories, stand up and songs, and a candid and hilarious Q and A session with the audience when Su Pollard brings her feel good show, Ooh, and another thing, on Tuesday 21 June.

The Real Thing will perform all their hits, including the pop anthem You To Me Are Everything, on Wednesday, 27th July.

If you still have Eurovision fever, then The Fizz (pictured), whose line-up includes original members of former UK winners Bucks Fizz, such as Cheryl Baker will be for you on Friday, 29th July.

One of the most successful soul and disco acts of their era, Odyssey, will belt out all their classics, including Use It Up And Wear It Out the following evening.

The South, including original members of The Beautiful South, are set to perform hits like A Little Time, Perfect 10, Song For Whoever and many more on Wednesday, 7th September.

The following evening Carol Decker’s T’Pau will recreate all of their chart toppers, such as China In Your Hand.

As the lead singer of the Happy Mondays, Shaun Ryder was a leading figure in the Manchester cultural scene in the late 1980s and theatregoers can spend the evening with him on Wednesday, 19th October to hear about his life — from the Mondays to Black Grape and even his time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Trigger Happy TV’s Dom Joly brings his Holiday Snaps tour and own brand of comedy to the Palace on Wednesday, 14th September.

And Coronation Street bad boy Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) returns as the baddie in this year’s pantomime, The Further Adventures Of Peter Pan – The Return of Captain Hook, from 26th November to 31st December.
