Ashfield Harmony in romantic concert

LOVE Is In The Air for Kirkby singing group Ashfield Harmony on Saturday, 13th May, when the audience at Ashfield School in the town will be able to listen to some of the most romantic music from the stage, screen and the charts.

The 40-strong mixed voice choir has chosen I’ve Had The Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing as one of its numbers to celebrate the award-winning film’s 30th anniversary.

The concert will include music from Aspects Of Love, Kiss Me Kate and South Pacific as part of its love theme and songs penned by Robbie Williams, John Denver and Elton John.

Nottingham organist Brett Wales will play the Wersi Louvre Organ and feature melodies of his own.

Love Is In The Air will start at 7pm. Tickets, priced £7, can be obtained from any choir member or by calling Carolynne Bennett on 01773 775176 for reservation with collection and payment on the evening.
