Trophy success for ice skaters

Lammas Ice Skating Club, Sutton, won the Blackpool Aggregate Trophy for the second successive year at the Blackpool Ice Skating Festival.

The club, based at the ice rink at Lammas Leisure Centre, attended the week-long festival at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Ice Arena.

Skaters aged from six to 18 took part, along with adult skaters who also train at the Sutton Rink.

They competed in figure skating, compulsory ice dance, free ice dance and exhibition skates.

The club runs training sessions every Wednesday evening and offers a structured programme of improvement for skaters who have achieved National Ice Skating Association (NISA) Gold Level and above.

This is can be achieved by completing Skate UK levels one to 10 with the NISA licensed coaches at the Lammas rink.
