Still time to enter sports awards

Entries are officially open for the 2015 Nottinghamshire Sports Awards, a ceremony that honours the talents and achievements of young people in the last 12 months across the county.

Organised by Sport Nottinghamshire and Nottinghamshire County Council, finalists will attend a glittering awards evening on Wednesday 3rd February 2016 at the Nottingham Conference Centre. The awards are open to public nominations and seek to recognise achievements at both a grassroots level and in professional sport

Simon Starr, Director of Sport Nottinghamshire, said: “The Nottinghamshire Sports Awards are always an atmospheric evening and this year will certainly be no different. It’s an honour to reward so many sporting talents and achievements in Nottinghamshire.

“There is a lot of buzz around sport at the moment since the recent ‘Home of Sport’ announcement and so we encourage individuals across the county to nominate those they feel deserve a prestigious sporting accolade.”
