Ex-England one-day captain Adam Hollioake is to lead a team of former international stars at Farnsfield Cricket Club’s President’s Day on 25th August.

Adam will captain the PCA England Legends, including Ryan Sidebottom, Ali Brown, Samit Patel, and Jonathan Trott against a Farnsfield XI for the President’s Cup.

The day will start with junior games and activities, and a chance to meet the England legends. For a full itinerary, follow the club on Facebook and Instagram.

As the midway point of the season approaches, all three of the open age Saturday teams at Farnsfield Cricket Club have experienced success.

Notable results in June were victories for the first team over rivals Cuckney 2nds and Welbeck 2nds.

Farnsfield 2nds put on a fantastic bowling display against Thoresby Park 1sts and the thirds had an equally impressive performance with the bat against Mansfield Hosiery Mills 3rds, team scoring more than 300 runs.

All three teams sat towards the top of their respective divisions, when this article was written.

The Sunday Development team, made up primarily of up-and-coming junior players, also recorded outstanding results.

The Women’s and Girls’ section have been competing in the EMWCL softball Summer League, winning three out of six matches. The annual Farnsfield CC Women’s and Girls’ Softball Festival in June attracted 11 clubs from around the county.
