Sleeping Beauty set to be Christmas Cracker

Mansfield Palace Theatre’s Christmas panto, Sleeping Beauty, launches in 10 days and has already sold 81% of seats.

Coronation Street star Vicky Entwistle is playing the Bad Fairy. The much-loved soap actress, who is well known for playing loudmouth factory worker Janice Battersby, is looking forward to playing the baddie role.

She said: “I love pantomimes and seem to have a track record for playing villains. It’s about the kids at the end of the day, I love to hear them booing or hissing because getting a reaction is what it’s all about.”

Playing Sleeping Beauty will be Amy Thompson, who is presenter on Channel 5’s morning children’s show, Milkshake!
Joining the battle of good versus evil will be Sarah Jane Buckley, the Good Fairy.Sarah Jane is known for her role as Kathy Barnes in Hollyoaks as well as co-producing the touring show, Songbird: the Story of Eva Cassidy.

Playing the role of Silly Billy is funny man Adam Moss, who said “Let the mayhem begin!”
