Posted onPosted on 17th Mar

Mansfield District Council has launched a new and improved website.

The new website features a clear layout that makes it quicker and easier for customers to do whatever they need to do online – whether that’s pay a bill, apply for something, tell the council about a problem or find information.

The website is compatible with smartphones and tablets as well as on a laptop or PC.

The site will continue to be updated with new content and features. A new payments system will also be added with even more online payment options.

Key new features include:
•Clear, easy-to-use new layout.
•Postcode look up for bin collection days.
•Designed for easy use on PCs, mobile phones and tablets.
•Updated content, written with a customer-friendly approach.
•New online forms make it easier than ever for customers to notify the council.

Improved website browsing includes:
•Updated A-Z directory.
•Predictive search results.
•Search page enables you to filter results to find what you need.
•Menus with links relevant for residents, businesses and visitors.
•Picture buttons to help navigation.

Cllr Andrew Tristram, Portfolio Holder for Corporate Issues, said: “We’ve looked carefully at what residents use our website for and redesigned it with their needs in mind.

“The way people use the internet has changed dramatically, and as an increasing number of visitors to our website are using tablets and smart phones, we’ve made sure it can be used easily on these devices as well as more traditional computers.”

The new website uses the same address www.mansfield.gov.uk
