London charity walk in memory of Cazi

Ravenshead man has urged NewsJournal readers to back his fundraising efforts for Cancer Research.

As reported last month, Mike, is taking part in the charity’s Night Walk in London on 27th September in memory of his wife, Carol (Cazi).

He said: “Cazi’s determination and inspirational personality has driven me on to take on the challenge.

“I want to say a tremendous thank you to everyone who has supported my fundraising.

“We have already raised more than £3,700 plus over £550 in gift aid. I want to especially thank the committee of the Phoenix Community Shop on Chesterfield Road South in Mansfield for their generous donation of £500.

“While my initial target was £2,000, I always wanted to smash this and together we are building a significant sum. I would love to achieve a five-figure sum in Cazi’s memory, and there’s still time to support my fundraising efforts.”

Mike would also like to hear from businesses prepared to add corporate sponsorship to take him closer to his new £10,000 target.

To donate go to www.just giving.com/mikefarley or text CAZI66 £10 to 70070. To donate cash or collect a sponsorship form, go to Platinum Hair, Ravenshead, or Ravenshead Post Office.

Mike said: “My thanks to Claire at Platinum Hair and Linda at the Post Office. Please dig deep, every £1 will make a difference.”
