How to buy your copy of Mansfield’s naked men calendar, help the NHS and raise money for coronavirus victim’s family

Posted onPosted on 27th Apr

A group of Mansfield men are baring all again six years after their naked calendar raised £5,500 for the town’s Fountaindale School.

This time they are raising money for the NHS — specifically King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton — as a thank you for its work in fighting the coronavirus.

They are also raising money for the family of a former ambulance worker, Charlie, who is sadly one of the local victims of Covid-19.

One of the men, Shaun Eden-Taylor, whose son George went to Fountaindale, said: “The original gang, along with some well-known people from the area, have reformed to produce a new Mansfield’s Naked Calendar Men 2020/2021.

“We hope to raise a lot of money for our fantastic NHS, and specifically Kings Mill, by selling lots of calendars to a wide audience.

“The first thing you can do to support us and our NHS is to follow our Facebook page ‘Mansfield’s Naked “Calendar men – Kingsmill NHS fund’.”

Mansfield business Linney Print has offered to print the calendars free. They will run from September 2020 to December 2021.

Shaun said each calendar costs £5.99. For every one that is sold, 50p will be donated to the family of Charlie, who sadly died in April from coronavirus.

Shaun added: “We are hoping to sell at least 5,000 copies. This means £2,500 will be able to go to Charlie’s family to help them with ongoing costs due to this tragic situation they’ve found themselves in. Then over £27,000 will go to King’s Mill Hospital, our local NHS.”

The calendars will be available for collection at various collection points around Mansfield.

Shaun added: “Also, because of Linney’s amazing gesture you will also be able to purchase the calendars from many other supermarket outlets across Mansfield, Mansfield Woodhouse, Rainworth, Bilsthope, Sutton, Kirkby etc and even King’s Mill Hospital.”

Malk Hall, of Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies, Mansfield, one of the sponsors and a model this time around, said: “The lads did a great job last time and raised a good sum of money, so we want to make this one bigger and better.

“We wanted to include as many models as possible so I offered to involve some of my sporting contacts.”
These include Nathan Eggleshaw, head coach of Paviors Rugby Union Football Club, and Adam Bates, from Sherwood Wolf Hunt Rugby League Football Club.

The others taking part in the calendar are Matthew Back, Neil McKie, Paul Haywood, David Clarke-Hippsley, Daniel Welsh, James Bennett, Josh Poullet, Lee Chapman, Marc Scotney, Ian Patterson, Adam Glenn, Paul Swales and Jamie Hemmings.
