The formal Annual Members’ Meeting will begin at 5.30pm and will end at 6.30pm. During this time the Board of Directors will review the past year and set out future plans for the Trust. Members of the public will also have the opportunity to put their questions to Chairman Sean Lyons and the Board of Directors.

In addition to the formal meeting, the public are invited to look around a selection of information stands, talk to key members of staff and get involved in interactive displays. This year there are stands on charitable funds work, the services at Newark Hospital and Nottinghamshire’s new Better Together programme.

There will also be an opportunity to learn more about becoming a public governor at the Trust. There are currently four vacancies for public governors in the Mansfield, Ashfield (x2) and Newark and Sherwood constituencies. Nomination forms to stand for election must be received by the returning officer no later than 5pm on Monday 15 September. For more information please visit the Trust’s website at www.sfh.

The public can also join a members’ event which runs from 4.00pm to 5.15pm. The event, focussing on quality and improving an inpatient’s journey, will include:

· Dementia care

· Ward boards

· Nursing handover arrangements

· Service improvements in relation to discharging patients from hospital.
