High note for chorus ladies

THE UK chorus champions, Lace City Chorus of Nottinghamshire, has received £500 from The Mansfield Building Society’s Community Support Scheme.

The funds will be used to bring a world-class coach to England to help them before they travel to the world championships in Las Vegas, USA.

The chorus, the only barbershop chorus for women in the county, is run by a volunteer management committee.

Its members are aged from 18 to 70. They rehearse at Colonel Frank Seeley School, Calverton, on Wednesdays at 7.15pm.
