There’s lots on this October Half Term at Making it! Discovery Centre, Mansfield to keep the whole family entertained.

From 27 – 31 October families can Design it, Make it, Take it away at the Design and Technology-themed Interactive Galleries, playing on fun exhibits followed by making a working model from scratch. There’s a rocket, speed machine, fairground carousel and many more to choose from.

All paying visitors can also enjoy a Halloween themed hunt for the chance to win a family day pass to the Discovery Centre next year. (See reception for details)

There’s a shop filled with pocket-money priced goodie,s including the new range of Making it! branded pens. Also on site is the Brewhouse Cafe. Hot and cold drinks, snacks and lunches are available 9.30am–2pm Monday to Friday.

There are Halloween-themed children’s make and take workshops in the Brewhouse Crafts room that can be booked now: Make a Haunted House, Pumpkin wall hanger or pom pom spiders, or even decorate trick or treat sweets.
