Enterprising Easter for students

An Easter-themed market is coming to Vision West Nottinghamshire College on Wednesday, 9th April for people to stock up on seasonal gifts.

Featuring more than 340 stalls, the market, which is open from 10am to 3pm, will see students selling cakes, handmade cards, potted plants, jewellery, custom-decorated Easter eggs as well as candles and bath salts in the college’s covered courtyard at the Derby Road campus.

All products have been handmade by students as part of entrepreneurial projects on their courses and all profits from the market will go towards investing back into each business initiative.

Also at the market will be items to buy from The Body Shop at Home and an orienteering activity staged by the college’s sport development team. The health, welfare and safety team will be on hand to pass on health tips.

The college will be promoting the next National Citizen Service (NCS) project being run over the summer. The NCS is a government-led initiative designed to support young people in the transition to adulthood through residential projects and community-based activities.
