A charity night at The Mint Indian Restaurant, Mansfield, for Fountaindale SEN School and Headway raised £2,000.
The event was the brainchild of Mansfield businessman Malk Hall, managing director of Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies, and was attended by more than 100 people.
Mr Hall, pictured, left, with Faz Choudhury, of The Mint, and David Jackson, of Nottingham Rugby Club, said: “The night was a huge success. It was a relatively easy event for us to organise and a lot of money was raised for two great charities!’’
Jackson, who retired from professional rugby last year after suffering a head injury in training, took part in a charity bike ride with a team of riders, including Mr Hall.
They rode from Leeds to Meadow Lane, Nottingham, to raise money for Headway, a charity that works to improve life after brain injury.
The next Hall-Fast Charity Curry Night is on Thursday, 17th July. For information or to pre-book tickets contact [email protected]
