College’s creative employment fair

An employment fair aimed at creative individuals is being held at West Nottinghamshire College next week.

A range of full and part-time job opportunities within the college’s creative industries and digital technologies school of learning are available and the employment fair on Thursday, 11 December will give people the opportunity to find out more and talk to curriculum managers as well as tour the state-of-the-art teaching facilities.

People can get information about a selection of tutor and management roles in interactive media, web design, games design, animation, computer programming, design, textile and print as well as film and TV and performing arts and music, at the event which is running from 5.30-7.30pm at the college’s Derby Road campus.

People attending can discuss their skills and experience within the industry with college specialists as well as apply for vacancies on the night.

Head of creative industries and digital technologies Steve McAlone said: “This is a very exciting time for our school of learning for both students and staff. As our course provision continues to grow the need for specialised tutors and managers must expand to give our students the best possible learning experience.

“The range of job opportunities we have available at the moment is very diverse and interesting and could be the start of a great new career for people.”
