Curry night raises £1,305

p A charity night at The Mint Indian Restaurant, Mansfield, for the town’s Fountaindale SEN School and Headway has raised £1,305. The event was attended by 55 people.

Owner of Mansfield company Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies Malk Hall is pictured, left, with The Mint’s Faz Choudhury and Nottingham Rugby legend David ‘Jacko’ Jackson.

Mr Hall said: “The night was a huge success. It was a relatively easy event for us to organise and a lot of money was raised for two great charities.”

Jackson, who retired from professional rugby last year after suffering a head injury in training, has joined with Hall-Fast as it aims to raise more than £30,000 over the next 12 months for the two charities.

It is hoped that half of this figure will come from the Hall-Fast Charity Ball on Friday, 29th May 2015, with the rest from a physical challenge in April and other charity events.
