Mansfield’s newest care home, Baily House, has welcomed its first resident, Mrs Jean Gent (86).

Home owner John Walton presented Mrs Gent with a bouquet.

Baily House is a purpose-built home on Botany Avenue and has 66 en-suite bedrooms. Its sister home, Woodleigh Christian Care Home in Mansfield, has provided residential and nursing care since 1988.

Front, deputy manager Teresa Heath, Mrs Jean Gent and senior carer Gaynor Hallam.

Back, home manager Samantha Kavanagh, care assistant Margaret Dunn, Mrs Gent’s daughters and son-in-law Sue, Karen and David; kitchen manager Sandra Whitton, care assistant Melody Mann and home owner John Walton.
