Mansfield Town’s youth team will face their biggest test of the season this evening, when they
entertain Stoke City in the FA Youth Cup fourth round.
A trip to Manchester City awaits the victors of tonight’s eagerly-awaited tie, which kicks off at 7pm.
Admission costs £4.
The Stags will head into the game as underdogs, but can draw confidence from their exploits in
previous rounds when they have defied all the odds to pull through.
Stags’ youngsters are also in good form as well, having won every match since the turn of the year
without conceding a goal. On Thursday, they made it five wins out of six games in the Football
League Youth Alliance with a 2-0 victory over Notts County – a result which moves them up four
places.
Mansfield Town will stage trials next month for potential first-year scholars for the
start of the 2015-16 season.
The club are looking for quality young players in all positions as part of the youth team squad for
next season. Trials will take place at Sutton Lawn Pleasure Grounds on Monday 16 February 2015,
between 10am and 1pm.
Potential trialists, who should be 16 years of age by 31 August 2015, must apply via e-mail/post.
Applicants will then be shortlisted and invited via e-mail/post.
