Berry Hill Park clean-up appeal

Mansfield Rotarians are again calling on residents to join in a fourth clean-up day at Berry Hill Park.

Mansfield Rotary Club will be supervising the clean-up on 27th September from 9am to 4pm and hope the work will take no longer than a day.

All 12 Miss Mansfield pageant finalists have pledged to lend a hand.

Andy Hill, club president, said: “It is the time of year when most gardeners have a bit of a clean-up, and that is what we plan to do. The more help we can get the easier it will be.”

Work needed includes strimming and general tidying of hedges, path edges, the bandstand and a thorough litter pick.

Mr Hill said: “We want to make the park as good as it can be for members of the public and need some help.

“There is a cafe there now, which is something people had been crying out for.

“There is an area where youngsters can build sand castles and more people are using the park than ever before because of the improvements.”

If you would can help, call 07837 026009. Jobs will be allocated to volunteers on the day.
