Local singer/songwriter Anthony Parsons is to showcase his talents at a concert at The Black Market Venue, Warsop, on 7th December, ahead of a UK tour.

Anthony, of Bolsover, who specialises in up-tempo modern pop songs, began his career by filming cover versions of popular songs and posting them on YouTube.

His videos were viewed all over the world and he was spotted by US talent scout Laurie Lungo and producer Steve Luongo.

Anthony flew to the States, where he performed with the band, Torque, at various venues, including a gig with AC/DC in the audience.

Upon his return home, Anthony’s live shows have gone from strength to strength and he performs to thousands of people every year across the UK.

His music has featured on radio in both the UK and the USA, and he is now performing a couple of local gigs, including the one at Warsop, in preparation for a full UK tour next year to support his new music.
