All fright on the night!

Students put on a frightful show at West Nottinghamshire College, all in the name of helping a cancer charity.

All travel and tourism students collected loose change and took £1 donations from everyone who took part in the scarefest two-day fancy dress event before their half term break at the end of October.

Students dressed up as zombies, witches, black cats, pirates and other Halloween-related characters on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the college holidays.

Over £150 was collected for the Mercedes Curnow Foundation which is a charity set up to detect early cervical cancer, in honour of Mercedes who died aged just 23.

Travel and tourism tutor Sabrina Sandhu said: “Thank you to everyone who donated to the students’ event. Everyone looked absolutely brilliant in their costumes and they brought a sense of fun to raising the cash for the Mercedes Curnow Foundation, which is our nominated charity of the year.”
