The Organising Committee of the World Day of Prayer 2024 for the Mansfield area is inviting people to join them in prayer on Friday, 1st March, at Rosemary Street Baptist Church, Mansfield, at 10am.
The World Day of Prayer worship service has a special annual theme, which is developed by women of a different country each year and gives an opportunity to share ideas and reach out in love and fellowship.
This year’s topic was prepared by an ecumenical group of Christian women from Palestine before the current conflict began in October.
Mansfield organisers said it reflects a universal desire for peace, tolerance, and understanding.
The Rev Maria Pap, of the organising committee, Mansfield, said: “Join us on Friday, 1st March as we pray for peace, for finding hope in difficult situations, for the strength and courage we can give each other to do our share of the work we are called to do in the hope of a world of justice and peace.
“If you are unable to attend in person, we invite you to mark the day in your home and heart by joining in prayer with women and men all around the world.”
