Woodland festival to celebrate 10-year festival

Posted onPosted on 20th May

The Sherwood Forest Trust Woodland Festival is returning for a 10th anniversary year on 15th and 16th June.

The free event, organised by The Sherwood Forest Trust, gives visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the heritage of the famous forest.

The weekend will include heritage crafts, storytelling, and hands-on crafts and woodwork activities.

Visitors will be able to see the likes of green woodworkers, a coracle maker, have a go at children’s eco art, listen to tree stories, and meet the Wild Man of The Woods (left) over the two days.

Jessica Smith-Launay, marketing and communications officer for the trust, said: “This festival is testament to our commitment to preserving and celebrating the wonders of Sherwood Forest.

“We invite everyone to join us for a weekend of fun, learning, and exploration in this beautiful setting.”

Admission to the festival is free, with onsite parking £3 per day.
