Wishing for a funny panto!

Posted onPosted on 24th May

Actor James Mackenzie, probably best known for his role as Raven in the BAFTA award-winning CBBC series of the same name, has been revealed as one of the stars of this winter’s festive panto in Mansfield.

James (pictured) will play the ‘baddie’ Abanazar in Aladdin, alongside the Palace Theatre’s popular panto comedian, Adam Moss (Wishee Washee), who is returning for an 11th season.

UK Productions’ Aladdin will run from 23rd November to 31st December.

James said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be appearing at Mansfield Palace Theatre for this year’s production of Aladdin, oh yes I am!

“I’m really excited about collaborating with UK Productions and can’t wait to see what mischief I can get up to with Mansfield’s favourite funny man, Adam. Let the challenge begin!”

James, who has featured on TV’s Taggart, has helped Raven garner cult status, spanning 15 series, and filmed in far flung exotic locations such as India.

He also features in the hit CBeebies series Molly and Mack.

Adam added: “It’s gonna be a fun one this year… the Raven has landed!”
