Inspire’s County Youth Arts team are getting ready for TOLFest – the annual music, film, dance and drama extravaganza with five evening events at the Old Library in Mansfield and one at the Post 16 Centre in Worksop.
TOLFest features performances from young people across the county of various abilities and experience, all weaved together to entertain, excite and inspire.
This year there will be a special performance from this year’s Supergroup ‘Earth Below’ – talented musicians who have been brought together to form a band following auditions. They will launch their first EP ‘Almost There’ at the BBC The Beat gig on Wednesday 29 June at 7.30pm at the Old Library
They have been working since last summer and collaborated with Nottingham singer/songwriter Rob Green, on the EP track ‘Wild’. The EP is released on County Youth Arts record label ‘In The End Records’.
The gig is hosted by BBC’s Dean Jackson and also will feature stellar performances by The Dukes, Charlie Fearon, IdigiMidi and Call After Midnight.
The BBC gig is preceded by a free Music Industry Panel with careers advice and tips, a must for all budding musicians and those wanting a career in the music industry –attendees also get free admission to the BBC gig that evening!
Councillor Liz Plant, Vice-Chairman of the Children and Young People’s Committee, at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “TOLFest is always a fantastic opportunity organised by Inspire’s County Youth Arts team to showcase young talent from across the county and this year’s programme of events is once again very exciting.”
