Theatre group on tour in Notts villages

Posted onPosted on 4th Oct

New Perspectives theatre company, which was previously based at the Old Library in Mansfield, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a new play, Model Village.

Written by Anita Sullivan, it follows model village residents rebelling against plans from a radical urban artist to update their charming 1930s landscape — and the audience choose the ending in the comedy.

“I grew up in a rural community and first encountered theatre in the village hall,” she said. “I’m turning that full circle with Model Village.”

Local performances will be at Clipstone Social Club on 9th November and The Vibrant Venue (former Methodist Church), Warsop, the following day. Both performances are at 7.30pm.
