The Elvis Years at Mansfield Palace Theatre

Posted onPosted on 23rd Jan

The Elvis Years, featuring Mario Kombou from the highly-acclaimed West End musical Jailhouse Rock, is to play at the Mansfield Palace Theatre on Friday, 14th February.

Six decades after Elvis Presley first walked into Sun Studios in Memphis as a teenage truck driver, the story of ‘The King’ is being brought to life in the form of a musical production.

The energetic show features the highs and lows of Elvis’s life – including his first legendary Sun session, the ‘Grand Ole Opry’ and ‘Louisiana Hayride’, the death of his beloved mother, his time in the army, the Hollywood movie years, the ‘68 Comeback Special, and the incomparable Las Vegas concerts.

With a world class cast of actor/musicians, authentic costumes and nostalgic film footage, The Elvis Years features over 50 massive Elvis hits including ‘That’s Alright Mama’, ‘Hound Dog’, ‘Blue Suede Shoes’, ‘It’s Now or Never’, ‘Just Can’t Help Believing’, ‘The Wonder Of You’, ‘Suspicious Minds’ , ‘American Trilogy’ and many more, as well as lesser known tracks such as ‘Rock A Hula Baby’ and ‘Patch it Up’.
