Two gardens in Sutton will be open to the public in June as part of the National Garden Scheme, which last year donated £3m to charity.
On Sunday, 16th June, East Meets West, at 85 Cowpes Close, will be open from noon to 5pm. The garden contrasts a traditional Asian garden and plants with a Western-style flower garden.
The opening is combined with that at Spring Bank House, 84 Kirkby Road, also from noon to 5pm.
Hundreds of rare plants fill this garden, which was dug from wasteland in 2012. Mediterranean planting, a bog garden, and two terraces lead to a woodland area with hardy exotics and wildlife pond.
There will be refreshments available at both gardens.
There are many other gardens open during June, including The Echium Garden at Thoresby Park, as well as some at Southwell, Whitwell, Halam and Newark.
