Summer festival returning to Mansfield park

Posted onPosted on 21st Jun

Thousands of people are expected at Titchfield Park on Thursday, 3rd August, as the Mansfield Summer Festival returns.

There will be free family entertainment, including live music, circus skills workshops, and an eco-themed theatre show, from 11am to 4pm.

Music and theatre are centre stage at the event with Disney princesses Belle and Ariel set to give a Disney hits performance and make appearances throughout the day.

Children’s favourite Squirrel Walnutkins will be saving the planet in an interactive comedy adventure stage show. The performance, aimed at primary age youngsters, will be signed for the hard of hearing.

There will be singalongs and live music from local singer River Hopkins, and roaming brass band Top Tier Brass.

Also look out for face painting, arts and crafts, arena activities, and stalls.

Mansfield mayor Andy Abrahams said: “It’s going to be another fantastic, free council-run event in walking distance of the town centre.

“There will be tons of fun things for children to do. It will be a great family day out that won’t cost the earth.”
