A Mansfield woman is turning over a new page in her life.

Tammy Curtis, 44, a senior midday supervisor and cleaner at Asquith Primary School, Mansfield, has published her latest book -— the fourth.

Fatal Woman, which is set in Nottinghamshire, is about a psychopath. It follows two crime thrillers, Twisted Affairs and The Only Way To Survive, and Tammy’s debut book, a supernatural story called Lissa Chamber’s, Life On The Edge.

Tammy, a former Sherwood Hall Upper School pupil who returned to live in Mansfield eight years ago, turned to writing after her marriage broke down.

“I wrote the supernatural book. It didn’t turn out quite how I wanted, but it gave me the courage to continue and improve my writing.

“I then wrote a two-part series,  crime thrillers based in New York. I love crime thrillers.

“I have a wild imagination. The story came about during a time in my life when I needed an escape, for me that was to write.”

Tammy self-published through Amazon and is promoting her work at a Christmas market in Mansfield on Saturday, 4th December.

She said she has received very positive feedback from those who have bought her books.
