Renfest returns in Rainworth

Posted onPosted on 26th May

A charity fundraising family fun day and music festival is returning after a three-year absence because of covid restrictions.

Renfest is put on by Team Vinyl, a Rainworth-based fundraising group.

This year it will be held on Saturday, 16th July, from 11.30am until late, at the Renfest Arena on Kirklington Road in the village.

It will be raising money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, North Anston, and JIA, a charity that helps youngsters and their families with children’s arthritis — as well as other local charities.

Compered by Steve Brailsford, Renfest will feature live bands, market stalls, fairground rides, bouncy castles, a raffle, tombola, disco, petanque games, children’s activities and food stalls. Kirklington Road, from the South Avenue entrance down to the traffic lights, will be closed to allow for a street party.

Team Vinyl has supported local charities for several years and has raised more than £25,000.
