Idlewells Shopping Centre, Sutton, is due to host a free Batman Day on Saturday, 1st October, from noon to 3pm, and raise money for charity.

Face painting, craft activities, and a photo competition for youngsters striking their best superhero pose are planned at the One Great Day event, a UK-wide annual charity fundraising day for Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.

The event was originally planned for September, but postponed in respect of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

Stephen Salisbury, Idlewells manager, said: “We were really looking forward to taking part in One Great Day and seeing our shopping centre filled with superheroes.

“We are raising money for a brilliant charity.”
