A new in-house summer exhibition at Mansfield Museum is called Miniature Worlds.

Displays will look at a whole range of mini-marvels, from fiction and fairytales (The Borrowers, Tom Thumb, comic books and picture books (General Jumbo, Traction Man) to film and TV (Toy Story, Trumpton)

There will be examples of toy soldiers and Sylvanians; make-it-yourself scenarios in Lego and Playmobil; model railways and boats; puppets, snow globes and ships in bottles.

There will be plenty for families to enjoy getting hands-on with, including Brio, Duplo and a toy farm, plus a different mini-themed craft activity every day throughout the summer holiday.

Miniature Worlds opens on Saturday, 18 July and runs until Saturday, 26 September.
