Mansfield-born singer-songwriter Georgie is to play three local dates on her Following The 20-Mile Road Tour.
The tour follows Georgie’s route from her hometown to Nottingham, where she got her big break — a journey she made often as a new musician and immortalised in her track 20-Mile Road.
Georgie made several festival appearances this year, including Splendour and Y Not Festival, and signed a record deal with Columbia Records.
Starting out at 14, she quickly gained a solid reputation for stunning live performances, drawing comparisons with Fleetwood Mac and Patti Smith.
Since then she has become a stalwart of the Nottingham music scene — championed BBC Introducing, Left Lion and NUSIC.
Georgie said: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to play these shows. That route is so symbolic for me as it represents a journey I made hundreds of times and wrote a song about, so it’s exciting to make an event out of it.”
The dates are: 9th October – Create Theatre, Mansfield; 6th November – Village Hall, Ravenshead; and 10th December – The Maze, Nottingham.
Each date will also feature support slots from other rising stars of the Nottinghamshire music scene handpicked by Georgie.
