Mansfield District Council is hosting three summer festivals of free family fun at parks across the district.

The events, from 10am to 3pm, will be at King George V Park, Mansfield, on Monday, 27th July; Titchfield Park, Mansfield, on Wednesday, 12th August; and Carr Lane Park, Warsop, on Thursday, 27th August. Dogs are welcome.

Visitors can enjoy bird of prey demonstrations, multi-skills sports activities, circus skills workshops and dog obedience displays with commentary from radio station Mansfield 103.2.

There will be arts and craft activities, the chance to handle small “critters” at a “meet the beasts” stall, and face-painting.

The festivals will include a recycling workshop, butterfly count, climbing wall, interactive and educational games, and tips on caring for dogs.

Council representatives from the Your Dog Your Responsibility team, and environmental health officers, will answer questions and give advice.
