The panto season in Mansfield is continuing long after the curtain went down for the final time on The Further Adventures Of Peter Pan —  The Return of Captain Hook at the Palace Theatre, on 31st December.

For two local theatre groups are returning in 2023 with their festive pantomimes. Mansfield Hospitals Theatre Troupe is staging Aladdin and Westfield Folkhouse Pantomime is putting on Dick Whittington, both also at the Palace Theatre.

Aladdin will be on Saturday, 28th January, at 2.15pm; from Monday, 30th January to Friday, 3rd February, at 7.15pm; and on Saturday, 4th February, at 2.15pm and 7.15pm.

Before Aladdin, Westfield Folkhouse is putting on Dick Whittington on Saturday 14th and Sunday, 15th January, and from Tuesday 17th to to Sunday, 22nd January — a total of 12 shows with evening performances, Saturday and Sunday matinees, and Sunday morning shows.
