Let us know about your coronation events

The coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as King and Queen of the United Kingdom, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 6th May.

Charles acceded to the throne last September upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Many events for the coronation weekend, which includes a bank holiday on Monday 8th, are being planned across Mansfield, Ashfield, and Newark and Sherwood.

The News Journal is listing the events for free in our May print edition.

They include Mansfield District Council working with Nottinghamshire Music Education Hub and Inspire Culture Learning and Libraries to bring a free afternoon of live music, picnics, Punch and Judy shows, a fairground organ, craft activities, and much more to Berry Hill Park, Mansfield, on Sunday, 7th May, from 12noon to 4pm.

On Monday 8th, Yeoman Hill Park, Mansfield Woodhouse, from 12noon-4pm, will host Party In The Park, organised by Mansfield Woodhouse Community Development Group.

It will include singers at the bandstand, stalls, BBQ, a bouncy castle, and more family entertainment.

There will be invitation-only community picnic events for hundreds of primary school pupils at Sherwood Forest, Edwinstowe, on Wednesday, 3rd May, and Sutton Lawn the following day.
