Free music event in Mansfield

Access to Music Mansfield is presenting College To Artists – featuring Vitamin and Natalie McCool – at the Old Library, Mansfield, on Tuesday, 10th May, from 7pm-10pm.

The free event follows the careers of two emerging acts. Each will talk about their developing careers in the music industry and they will also offer some impromptu performances.

Vitamin are an indie-pop four-piece from Leeds who have been compared to Bombay Bicycle Club and the electronic-pop of Friendly Fires.

The band signed to the National Anthem label in 2015, which is the home of Chvches and Haim. They are currently on tour promoting their new single This Isn’t Love.

This summer seems them perform at festivals including Stockton Calling Festival, Live At Leeds and the Great Escape Festival.

Radio 1 DJ, Huw Stephens, describes Natalie McCool’s music as ‘perfect pop with a subtle twist’.

She first became recognised when she won a Yamaha-sponsored national songwriting competition judged by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. While at university, she received a one-to-one songwriting session with Paul McCartney and has since collaborated with Suede guitarist Bernard Butler. Natalie is currently on tour promoting her latest single, Fortress.
