Free fish workshops for youngsters

Posted onPosted on 21st May

May half-term is just around the corner and to help keep children entertained throughout the school holidays Pets at Home in Mansfield is again offering its fun and free interactive My Pet Pals workshops, every day from 24th May to 2nd June.

The workshops offer fun-filled activities to teach children how to care for ‘fantastic fish’, whilst demonstrating how rewarding these pets can be.

Children will have the chance to take part in interactive games, meet the Pets at Home fish residents and complete fun activity sheets based on what they have learnt. At the end of the session, they will be given stickers and a certificate to show they are equipped to be excellent fish owners.

Taking place every day at 11.30am, the workshops are aimed at children between the ages of 5-11 and will be hosted by Pets at Home pet care advisors.

The workshops will cover the five key welfare needs for fish including shelter, food, water, good health, appropriate company and the right living environment. Each workshop lasts approximately 30 minutes and is free to attend.

The free workshops will run every day during the May half-term school holidays and bookings can be made at petsathome.com/petworkshops
