Food and drink festival returns to Clumber Park

MasterChef: The Professionals 2018 winner Laurence Henry will appear at this year’s Festival of Food and Drink at Clumber Park.

The seventh festival at the park will run on Saturday 14th and Sunday, 15th September.

There will be a menu of guest chefs, live demonstrations and food and drink to try and buy as well a live music.

Laurence, who lives in Nottingham and has worked for the Michelin starred Restaurant Sat Bains as sous chef, will make his Cookery Theatre debut on the Saturday.

Laurence will be joined by vegan chef Brett Cobley, better known as the EpiVegan, who is also appearing at the festival for the first time.

On the Sunday Rachel Green, an award-winning chef, local food campaigner, food stylist, TV presenter and author, is returning.
The Food and Drink Marquee will have more than 90 brands.

There will be locally-produced breads and cheeses, international spices, cakes and biscuits as well as gluten free treats, fine wines, gins and other spirits to craft ales.

After last year’s launch, the Gin School will return with a new twist — Gingo, a bingo-style game at noon, 1.30pm and 3pm, where attendees will receive five gin and tonic tastings, a goodie bag, game of bingo and top prizes for Gingo winners.

The School of Artisan Food will provide a programme of classes for both adults and children.

Adult classes are bookable in advance and children’s classes can be booked on the day.

Children can learn new baking skills with The School of Artisan Food, enjoy sand art, face painting, archery and other activities with the National Trust and more.

Ticket prices start from just £7 in advance with free admission into Clumber Park included. Go to www.festivaloffoodanddrink.co.uk
