Award-winning Ditto Theatre Company is back on tour with a production that is coming to Mansfield Palace Theatre in October.

‘The Unexpected Adventures of Darwin the Chimp combines storytelling, puppetry and movement as Darwin and a
whole host of other characters embark on an adventure of friendship, family and what it means to be home.

The Unexpected Adventures of Darwin the Chimp has been developed with the help of In Good Company’s Artist Support Fund and is particularly suitable for 8-11 year-olds and anyone aged over 5.

Ditto is a female-led theatre company that creates original family theatre, combining storytelling, puppetry and movement with minimal and versatile set and props. It tells stories within significant historical contexts to explore
timeless social and political themes.

The aim is to spark debate and discussion amongst young people and their families. All of Ditto’s stories are told through the eyes of a puppet protagonist, inviting audiences to suspend disbelief and join them on an adventure.

The Unexpected Adventures of Darwin the Chimp is at  Mansfield Palace Theatre on 28th October, at 11am, 2pm and 4pm.
