Coldplace the place to be for Coldplay fans in Mansfield

Posted onPosted on 28th Jan

Need a Coldplay fix and disappointed they’re not touring with their new album, Everyday Life? Then head to Mansfield Palace Theatre on Sunday, 23rd February, where you can see the next best thing and the world-leading tribute, Coldplace, at the start of its UK tour.

Bringing their full theatre tour to Mansfield, Coldplay fans, new and old, will be able to experience the music of the iconic British band first hand, along with some new tracks from their latest album that was released at the end of last year.

“Having met the real Coldplay a few times now, I guess their decision not to tour with ‘Everyday Life’ wasn’t one taken lightly, but they are obviously very passionate in trying to make a change regarding climate awareness,” explains Shane Crofts, lead singer of Coldplace.

“I would have loved to have seen them perform with their latest album, but also respect their decision, and their live YouTube gig did feel like a global gig for all the fans.”

This will be Coldplace’s third year of theatre tours in the UK and when not performing here they tour all round the world.

“At the end of last year, we were asked to perform at the Emirates Dubai Rugby 7s to celebrate their 50-year anniversary,” continues Shane.

“This wasn’t the first time we have performed in Dubai, but this gig was extra special as the beautiful Kylie Minogue was headlining the event, so we shared the stage with this legend.

“Mansfield Palace Theatre will be the first date of our 2020 tour, and Coldplace intend to kick it off with a bang. Expect lasers and confetti to set the stage for an explosive performance of endless Coldplay hits.

“This year we have been extremely fortunate and honoured to be able to use the Xylobands wristbands, which Coldplay use at their gigs,

“Coldplay were the first band to pioneer the interactive wristbands during their 2011 and 2012 Mylo Xyloto tour, and we are the only tribute band to have been given permission from Xylobands themselves to use these in our shows, so we’re very excited to be bringing this new element to our shows.”
