Church Festival in Berry Hill Park

Posted onPosted on 5th Jul

A Mansfield church is hosting a festival in Berry Hill Park in the town that is open to all.

Rob Hurd, senior pastor at LIFE Church, based at Bellamy Road, Mansfield, said a similar event last year attracted more than 100 people and they were again hoping for a good response.

Berry Hill Church Festival, from 10.30am on Sunday, 16th July, will include gospel songs from the Joint Worship Band, led by Andy Dobb and Malcolm Riviere, as well as children’s ministry and entertainment from Dougee Dug Dug.

A group from Teen Challenge will talk about their life of addiction and how they are free, and there will be a national speaker from an organisation called the Message Trust.

There will also be children-friendly games and activities, and refreshments available in the park.

Pastor  Hurd added: “We are a lively, and welcoming church. We want everyone who comes to LIFE Church to feel welcomed, accepted, and cared for. We believe that everyone is important and has a part to play, and that God can use each of us for His glory.

“We use modern songs for worship and are relaxed and informal in our approach.

“Children and young people are very important to us and we want to create an atmosphere at LIFE Church where all children and young people can know how important they are and that they are loved and accepted.”
