Charity coffee morning at Old Meeting House

Posted onPosted on 17th Oct

On Saturday, 29th October, from 10am to noon, there will be a charity coffee morning and Halloween party for children and adults at the Old Meeting House, Mansfield, with costumes, jack-o’-lanterns, Halloween cookie decorating, and much more.

Tea and coffee, homemade cakes, and a raffle will also be on offer with all proceeds for Guide Dog, UK.

There are several events at the Old Meeting House Unitarian Chapel, Mansfield, in November that, according to the Rev Mária Pap, come laden with memories and hope.

She said: “On Remembrance Sunday, 13th November, at 11am the chapel will honour the past, remembering our heroes — those whose memory we cherish and those whose names we will never know — in gratitude for their sacrifice and for the inspiration they bring to our faith and commitment in working for a better world.”

Pudsey will be back at the OMH on Saturday, 19th November, to host a coffee morning and a stay and play activity, from 10am to noon. The event will have something of interest and fun for all the family with proceeds going to Children in Need.

On Sunday, 20th November, at 11am, the chapel will host an interfaith service on the topic of peace, which the Rev Pap said was more relevant than ever to all.

“Members of Mansfield’s different faith communities and those with no religious affiliation are invited to consider how can we work together to create a just, peaceful, and harmonious world,” she added.

“All events are open; everyone is welcome.”
