Posted onPosted on 21st Feb
A support group is celebrating a global event with a special celebration in Mansfield.
Down’s Syndrome Support Group Mansfield will mark World Down’s Syndrome Day on 21st March by hosting an afternoon of activities at Calvary Chapel, Mansfield, on Saturday, 19th March, from 2pm to 4pm.
The Mansfield group is working with Nottinghamshire Down’s Syndrome Support Group to run five event hubs across the county to celebrate.
The event at the chapel on Eakring Road, Mansfield, is open to all people with Down’s and their families. There will be arts, crafts and games on the day, as well as two activities that will be running across all of the hubs.
Ann-Marie Limer, who runs the Mansfield support group, said: “There will be refreshments available on the day, a chance to meet other families in our local community and a chance to make new friends. “
To book a place at the event, call Ann Marie on 07773 224028  or email [email protected].uk.
For more details go to the Down’s Syndrome Support Group Mansfield on Facebook, where a booking form can be found on the event post.
