Mansfield Museum is hosting an exhibition remembering the artists who used to work at Mansfield Metal Box factory for the first time.

It will run from Saturday, 8th August until Saturday, 31st October.

More than 100 pieces of work line the walls at the museum and demonstrate how talented this sometimes over-looked area of the tin manufacturing process were.

Before the internet, artists had to use books and photographs to produce intricate designs for the tins, often working to tight timescales.

There is also a chance to have a go at designing a tin in the museum’s mini design studio.
