Mansfield Market Place will host its first Car and Bike Show on Sunday, 11 September, from 11am to 3pm.

The event will be a showcase of vehicles including vintage and classic cars, motor bikes, scooters, rally cars and new cars. There will also be vintage fire and engines and ambulances on display.

Budding racing drivers can test out their driving skills in a Formula 1 simulator. Birchall Racing will display one of their trophy-winning sidecars. The Maypole Goodtime Band will play.

Coun David Smith, portfolio holder for cultural services, town and district centres, said: “The show is a free event in the town centre that will appeal to car enthusiasts as well as those just looking for some family fun.

“It is part of a series of events we have held throughout the year in Mansfield town centre and we hope people continue to enjoy the programme of entertainment.”
