Lee Anderson, MP for Ashfield, held a virtual talent competition during the third lockdown in a bid to raise spirits.

The competition was held over Zoom with local people judging. All age groups entered the competition with singers, dancers and poets all taking part.

Over three weeks the artists performed with thousands of people tuning in.

Sutton singer Ashley Westlake, 16,  was crowned the winner and the MP promised a live show once Covid restrictions were eased.

It will be held this Thursday at The Diamond Club, 47 Stoney Street, Sutton NG17 4HG. It will start at 7pm and will feature many of the star acts and a live band.

Entry costs just £2 on the door with all proceeds being spilt between two charities – Brinsley Animal Rescue Centre and Our Centre in Kirkby.
